Outlaw

We had been thinking Aaron could use a bit of a haircut, but when a friend asked me, "are haircuts illegal in Salem, or are you guys trying to raise a hillbilly?", we decided the time had come.

AFTER

It only looks a little crooked in the picture. It is perfect in real life.

A.C. Gilbert's Discovery Village

Anna and Aaron had some fun at the Children's Museum in Salem. They both really liked putting the chocolate chips in the cookies. Aaron really liked hitting his poor cousin on the head with the chocolate chips.

Visitors

Uncle Kevin, Aunt Beth, and Cousin Anna were in town from Utah and came over for a visit.

Father's Day

Aaron gave Daddy a power drill for Father's Day so that when we get to our new house, Daddy can do "fatherly" things. That is... IF Daddy can pry the power drill out of Aaron's fingers...

SICK SICK SICK!

Sunday night, the night before we left Utah, Aaron came down with a high fever. Even with Tylenol and Motrin on board, we had a hard time keeping him below 104 degrees. The poor little man had ick coming out both ends. Monday night we were at the ER, but after 4 and half hours they proved to be completely useless.

Wednesday we were at his doctor's office. His temp was still high and he was still vomiting and had diarrehea. Because he was becoming dehydrated, we spent all of Wednesday with Aaron hooked up to an IV receiving fluids. The doctor was also able to get blood and urine for testing. It took two painful drawn out pokes to get the IV going properly, but the fluids really helped him. All of Aaron's lab work came back okay.

We left the doctor's office with the IV catheter still in Aaron's arm in case he would need fluids again the next day. That way we could avoid more pain.

Today he woke up with a little more of his personality shining through. The fever is gone, but in its place is a rash that covers him from groin to scalp. Just part of the virus. We were able to have the catheter taken out, and Aaron is enjoying having two arms again.

More Utah Family

We went to Grandpa Lee's house for a BBQ on Sunday. Aaron had fun playing in the backyard...until the thunderstorm crashed the party!

Utah Family

Aaron met many family members when we went to a BBQ at Grandma May's house.

He got kisses from Cousin Anna. That's Anna's mom, Beth, holding Aaron, and Beth's mom, Gale, holding Anna.

Anna is 3 months older than Aaron.

Carousel

Aaron tried to follow Mia's big girl lead at Liberty Park in Salt Lake.

He held on tight to "Mike" instead of waving to daddy.

Guinness's life used to be so much better...

We used to cover the outlets. But Aaron takes out the covers. We decided choking was more of a hazard than electrocution at this juncture. But the outlets are covered in clear packing tape now... Just to be safe.

Aaron loves watching the squirrels and birds outside his bedroom window.

Aaron is fresh out of the tub and is inspecting Guinness's cleanliness.

Aaron feels Guinness has passed the inspection, and is happy for Guinness's convenient "back handle".
