Aquarium

Leland took the day off today and we took Aaron to the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport.

We are inside a small aquarium here, but the fish Aaron is looking at is hard to see in the pic.

Aaron's favorite parts were the undersea tunnels and the touch pool. He touched star fish, sea anemones, and a shark.

Evolution

Dancing King

Aaron dances whenever he hears music. It is REALLY hard to catch him on video because he stops as soon as he sees the camera. Probably because he doesn't want everyone to see him dance. Tough!

Naked Time

It has been established for quite some time now that Aaron's preferred state is naked. Because of this we have compromised in the pajama department and he usually sleeps in a short sleeved onesie.

A student I had last year gave me these pajamas as a gift and now they fit Aaron. So I TRIED to get him to wear them.

He did not approve of the sleeves.

He ended up in a onesie.

This One's for You, Grandpa Lee

This shirt is from Aaron's Grandpa Lee. He just started fitting into it.

It says, "Diaper Loading 72% Complete".

Although, I must say that luckily, Aaron typically loads the toilet... :)

Orangutan

Uncle Kev took this video by mistake and then we realized that a video would have been way better than a pic. Oh well.

We Went to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo...

We went to Portland to the zoo for the first time with Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Kevin.

Aaron's favorite animals were the children and their strollers. He also liked the hippopotamus's waterfall and the zebra.

Although he and the Orangutan got along quite well.

Chin-ups on a Mastadont rib in the elephant museum.

On the elephant tricycle with Mom.

In the Backyard

New House

We bought our first house and moved in on August 1st. Thanks to Mom, Dad, Kev, Adam and Jen!

Aaron has been having a lot of fun checking out his new spaces...

And teaching the rules of the house to Guinness...

(The curtains are like that because otherwise Aaron tries to yank them down. We like to keep it classy. )

He likes to watch Daddy mow the lawn. He is working on his first persuasive speech so I will let him help Daddy.

Empty cupboards were a favorite, but now they are full and locked. Shumways---does this remind anyone of Leland in Germany?!

And he loves putting on Grandma's necklace and trying to get the gas fireplace to explode.

And we love the view from our back patio.

And we are NEVER MOVING AGAIN!!!

Absent

We have been neglecting our blog because we moved and had to wait a REALLY long time for internet.

But there are pictures just waiting to be uploaded.

Check back!
