Enchanted Forest

We went to the Enchanted Forest with Gaga today. Aaron didn't remember any of it from last year.

It was his first time down the shoe slide, so I pretended not to be queasy.

The frog hopper was new for him this year too. It was his favorite.

We got lots of compliments on the sword by the way. I'll be opening my etsy shop soon. :)

A Growing Family

Originally our fish tank was a frog tank, but one by one the frogs escaped (two of which were never found) and it became a fish tank. There were 3, but 2 died quickly. The third has been alone in the tank for almost a year I think. He's fond of hiding, so Aaron named him "Invisible" awhile back.

Last week Aaron asked if we could get Invisible a new family. Leland and I think it's possible Invisible is a serial killer... so we decided to test the theory.

Today we welcomed 3 new fish (Bag, Chair, and Willamette) and 2 new frogs (Mommy and Fist Bump) to the tank. Aaron spent the better part of the evening discussing with the new family the importance of sharing and coaxing Invisible to be brave and make new friends.

In Sheep's Clothing

This afternoon there was a fly buzzing around our house and Aaron was trying to get close to examine it. The fly kept flying away before Aaron got anywhere near it. After several laps around the house he decided he'd better camouflage himself so the fly won't know it's him sneaking up. This is the camouflage he came up with. All on his own. I swear. Note the "I'm one of you" wings and bug eyes.

Of course I wasn't holding onto any hope that this plan would work. Imagine my surprise when he sneaked right up behind the little creature (slowly, slowly) holding his breath and poked it right on the back. Aaron was so thrilled with himself.

See? What do I know?
